P6530 HYDROLOGY APPARATUS

English: #Civil Engineering #Fluvial geomorphology demonstrations #Model stream flow #Sediment transport #Hydraulic gradients.
Español: #Ingeniería Civil #Demostraciones Fluviales de geomorfología #Corriente de flujo #Transporte de sedimentos #Aparato de Hidrología.

The Cussons P6530 Hydrology Apparatus is a free standing self-contained unit which has been designed to allow students to study the principles of catchment rainfall and run off as functions of time, to simulate multiple and moving storms, to examine the interaction of adjacent wells and to study elementary fluvial processes

Experimental Capabilities:
Study of basin hydrological cycles
Study of flood and runoff hydrographs
Permeability analysis
Effects of surface storage on hydraulics
Study of ground water abstraction through one or two wells
Simulated effects of civil constructions such as bridges and dams
Fluvial process studies including:
Sediment transportation
Erosion by water on hillsides
Erosion in meandering rivers

P3200 Air Flow Bench

#Aerodynamics #Heat Transfer #Bernoulli's Experiment  #Flow Around a Bend.

Know our Wind Experiments Range!

The Air Flow Bench is a modular design which enables numerous add-on units to be used with this service bench, ensuring that the scope of the work which can be dealt with can be enlarged as required. The full range of experiments is shown here in brief detail for all three disciplines, whereas information on Heat Transfer and Aerodynamics is provided on a separate leaflet.
  • Fan characteristics (BS 848)
  • Air flow in ducts
  • Air flow measurement
  • Bernoulli´s experiment
  • Flow around a bend
  • Free jet studies
  • Tube wall to air convective heat transfer
  • Heat transfer in a shell and tube heat exchanger
  • Flow around a cylinder
  • Lift and drag of an aerofoil
  • Flow visualisation
  • Boundary layer growth
  • AerofoilLift and drag of an aerofoil
